Rogersville Public Library holding summer reading program for children 4-12

Children 4-12 are invited to participate in the Rogersville Public Library’s 2020 Summer Reading Program.

Register any time during the library’s regular business hours.

Take-home activities are available for each child who registers.

On Thursday, June 18, participants are invited to an educational program, Animal Tales’ “Fantastic Creatures,” featuring select live animals, at the stage area at Rogersville Recreation Park. The program will start at 2 p.m.

Summer reading program participants may count books they have at home, along with e-books or books borrowed from a friend. Only count books that are completed during the weeks of the program.

Only five books in a series may be checked out at one time from the library during the summer reading program.

This year’s summer reading program will conclude on Friday, July 3.

Library Administrator Teresa Garner asks that parents accompany their children and practice social distancing while in the library and during the June 18 program at the park.

For questions or more information, see any library staff member, or call 256-247-0151.
