Lauderdale County Schools reopening pushed back to August 17

The Lauderdale County Board of Education has pushed back the start of school 10 days to Monday, August 17.

The board approved the change during its meeting on Wednesday, July 1.

In a statement, the school system said moving the start date for students “allows teachers and staff more time to be fully prepared for in-person and online learning.”
