Week 8 high school football games moved to tonight due to weather

Most of this week’s high school football games in North Alabama have been moved up to tonight (Thursday, October 8) due to forecasts of rain on Friday from remnants of Hurricane Delta.

Check your school’s official social media, or call your school’s office, for any further game day updates or announcements.

Week 8 of the state’s high school football season includes the following local games (Thursday, October 8):

  • Phil Campbell at Lauderdale County (homecoming)
  • East Lawrence at Clements (homecoming)
  • Lexington at Mars Hill (homecoming)
  • Rogers at Deshler (homecoming)
  • Wilson at West Limestone (homecoming)
  • Shoals Christian at Waterloo
  • Central at Priceville
  • Florence at Sparkman
  • Muscle Shoals at Hartselle
  • Tharptown at Sheffield (homecoming)
  • Athens at Buckhorn

Brooks at West Morgan is still set for Friday. Check official social media channels for any changes regarding this game.

Games kick off at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted by your school.

Masks are currently required at all stadiums. Fans are also asked to practice social distancing.
