Advertisement for Bids – SEALED PROPOSALS will be received from General Contractors by the Owner (ACCS Alabama Community College System) and the Owner’s Construction Manager, Robins & Morton at Northwest Shoals Community College-Phil Campbell Campus, 2080 College Rd, Phil Campbell, AL 35581; until 2:00 PM Local Time, Thursday, August 31, 2023, in Building 305 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud:
INTERIOR DEMOLITION FOR NORTHWEST SHOALS COMMUNITY COLLEGE – PHIL CAMPBELL CAMPUS

PRE-BID CONFERENCE: will be held at the same location at 10:00 AM local time August 15 2023, for the purpose of reviewing the project and answering Bidder’s questions. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference IS NOT REQUIRED but highly recommended FOR ALL GENERAL CONTRACTOR BIDDERS intending to submit a proposal.
Prequalification:
Because safety is top priority, all interested bidders are requested to submit a copy of the company’s Experience Modification Record (EMR) and OSHA 200 logs to The Robins & Morton Group, attn: Robert White at RWhite@robinsmorton.com, or by regular mail or hand delivery, by 5:00 PM CST, Thursday, August 24, 2023.
A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to (Owner) Alabama Community College System in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder’s proposal. Performance and statutory Labor and Material Payment Bonds, and insurance in compliance with requirements, and verification of E-Verify enrollment will be required at the signing of the Contract.
Drawings and Specifications may be examined at the Office of the Architect; Dodge Data & Analytics; Data Fax and Construct Connect.
Bid documents (Plans, Specifications, and Addenda) shall be available after or on July 31st, 2023 and will be sent to General Contractors only, from the Architect electronically with no deposit. Subcontractors should contact a General Contractor or plan room for documents. Only General Contractors which are properly licensed in accordance with criteria established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the Provision of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, will be considered for the work of this project.

Scope:
The scope of work includes the complete interior demolition of 4 existing buildings and partial interior demolition of the ground floor of the existing gymnasium. The demo includes all work as depicted in the contract documents to remove all interior non – loadbearing partitions, doors, frames, glazing, HVAC and components, electrical devices, and all plumbing fixtures. Bidders will be required to work with the OwnerÕs representative on all low voltage and fiber work to be removed or relocated. Work will include industry standard disposal off site of all demolished material and clean up and prep work for areas to receive new work in a later phase. Hazardous material removal will be part of the work as directed in the hazardous material report to be provided in an addendum.
