The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will hold public meetings to gather input regarding the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
The Department is seeking public comment on the proposed STIP, which includes a listing of specific transportation projects that will be funded during the next four years.
Each meeting will be held in an open house format, with displays and information available to discuss planning efforts and answer questions. A short presentation will be included to explain the requirement to have a STIP. The meeting for this Area will be Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the ALDOT North Region-Tuscumbia Area Office, 295 Hwy 20, Tuscumbia, AL 35674.
Persons with disabilities should contact Trent Brannon at 256-389-1488 to request special assistance at least one week prior to the meeting and specify the type of assistance needed.
The Draft STIP 2024-2027 will be available for review at the Area Office in Tuscumbia, and at each of the District Offices in Tanner, Moulton, and Tuscumbia.
Comments will be accepted through June 27, 2023, and should be directed to:
