Public Notice: Advertisement for Prequalification and Bids

ADVERTISEMENT FOR PREQUALIFICATION AND BIDS
SEALED PROPOSALS will be received from General Contractors by the Owner (ACCS Alabama Community College System) and the Owner’s Construction Manager, Robins & Morton at Northwest Shoals Community College-Phil Campbell Campus, 2080 College Rd, Phil Campbell, AL 35581; until 2:00 PM Local Time, Thursday, October 26, 2023, in Building 305 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud:

GYMNASIUM (BUILDING 308) RENOVATION FOR NORTHWEST SHOALS COMMUNITY COLLEGE – PHIL CAMPBELL CAMPUS PHIL CAMPBELL, ALABAMA

PRE-BID CONFERENCE: will be held at the same location at 10:00 AM local time Tuesday, October 17, 2023, for the purpose of reviewing the project and answering Bidder’s questions. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference IS NOT REQUIRED but highly recommended FOR ALL GENERAL CONTRACTOR BIDDERS intending to submit a proposal.

Prequalification:
The Owner will be prequalifying bidders. A completed ContractorÕs Qualification Statement, Documents A305, with attachments shall be submitted to Robins & Morton, attn: Robert White at RWhite@robinsmorton.com, or by regular mail or hand delivery, before 5:00 PM CST, Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to (Owner) Alabama Community College System in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder’s proposal. Performance and statutory Labor and Material Payment Bonds, and insurance in compliance with requirements, and verification of E-Verify enrollment will be required at the signing of the Contract.

Drawings and Specifications may be examined at the Office of the Architect; Dodge Data & Analytics; Data Fax and Construct Connect.

Bid documents (Plans, Specifications, and Addenda) will be sent to General Contractors only, from the Architect electronically with no deposit. Subcontractors should contact a General Contractor or plan room for documents. Only General Contractors which are properly licensed in accordance with criteria established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the Provision of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, will be considered for the work of this project.

Scope:
The scope of work includes the minor demolition and architectural, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, electrical, and fire alarm renovation. Bidders will be required to work with the Owner’s representative on all low voltage and fiber work to be removed or relocated.
