Search and view local and statewide public notices

Under Alabama law, public notices regarding certain government, business and judicial activities are legally required to be published in local newspapers — such notices include foreclosures, advertisement for bids, public hearings, etc.

The Alabama Press Association, in cooperation with member publications, provides access to these public notices in a searchable, online database.

This free service provides public access to legal notices from municipal, county and state governments throughout the state.

Additionally, a paid “Smart Search” subscription is available for anyone who wants to receive daily, automatic search results for specific types of notices.

“Smart Search” results can be sent directly to your inbox.
