Change in polling locations for Rogersville and Anderson for Tuesday’s runoff election

Due to social distancing concerns related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, voters in Lauderdale County’s Rogersville and Anderson precincts will be voting at new, larger polling locations for Tuesday’s (July 14) runoff election.

The changes were approved last month.

The polling location for Precinct 1, typically Anderson Town Hall, will be the Anderson Gym, located at 6 School Road. This is the free-standing gymnasium now owned by the town.

Precinct 2 will move from the Rogersville Senior Center to the Family Life Center at Rogersville First Baptist Church, 222 College Street.

The Rogersville Town Council had already moved the polling location for future municipal elections, including the upcoming August 25, 2020, municipal election, to the church.

Lauderdale County Probate Judge Will Motlow previously said he planned to ask the County Commission to permanently move the Rogersville precinct’s polling location, for all elections, to the church.

Polls will be open 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. statewide on Tuesday.
