[Updated] ‘Saw You at the Pole’ set for Wednesday at Rogersville Recreation Park

[Update – Due to the possibility of rain, this event has been moved to the Family Life Center at First Baptist Church Rogersville. The address is 222 College Street. The start time is still 6 p.m., Wednesday, September 23.]

The annual “Saw You at the Pole” event for junior high and high school students will take place Wednesday, September 23, beginning at 6 p.m. at Rogersville Recreation Park.

This event was originally scheduled to be held in the auditorium at Muscle Shoals High School, but was canceled due to the school system’s current facility use policy related to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Saw You at the Pole” is considered a follow-up to the “See You at the Pole” student prayer events, which are typically held on the fourth Wednesday in September.

“See You at the Pole” events were held Tuesday morning (September 22) at schools in Lauderdale County.

All junior high and high school students from Lauderdale County, Colbert County and elsewhere are invited to attend Wednesday’s “Saw You at the Pole” event, which will feature worship led by Steventhen Holland and a message from evangelist Darrin English.

Attendees are asked to practice social distancing and follow the state’s mask requirement protocols. (The state’s current health order says masks should be worn at outdoor events with 10 or more people when within six feet of someone from another household.)

“Saw You at the Pole” is being organized by the First Priority organization at LCHS.

Rogersville Recreation Park is located on the eastern side of Highway 207 (Wheeler Street), approximately one mile north of downtown.

Traveling east or west on Highway 72 to Rogersville, turn north on HWY 207/Wheeler. The park will be on the right.
